Who we are
The Club
Ballarat City Football Club is a community football club based in Ballarat, Victoria. We provide strong pathways and development to all players across all age levels.
Our Vision
To develop players who have pride in performance, effort, progress and their club so that all players can maximise their opportunities to develop in order to become the best in the West. To ensure we are fostering player’s confidence, self-awareness, self-control and self-determination.
History
Football has run in this club's blood since 1968, when Ballarat Soccer Club formed out of a meeting at the Bunch of Grapes Hotel and won a championship in its very first season. Five decades followed — the Trekardo Park years, an unbeaten 1992 title, the Ballarat United and Red Devils eras, and a rise into the inaugural NPL Victoria in 2014 at the new Morshead Park facility. In 2016, members reformed the club as Ballarat City FC: one club for one city.
The women's story runs just as deep — from the Lady Devils to the Eureka Strikers, who joined Ballarat City in 2019 to unite the city's football under one crest.
